• Content creation for ACCA paper P4 (Advanced Financial Management), CIMA paper F3 (Financial Strategy),
• ICAEW Advanced Stage Business Analysis and CAT paper T10 (Managing Finances).
• Teaching in Kaplan’s Yorkshire offices (Leeds and Sheffield).

Experience (relevant)

• 2008—present Current role as Content Specialist. I am also a member of the marking team for the CIMA F3 paper (formerly P9).
• 1995—2008 Tutor for Kaplan (formerly Financial Training) in Leeds. I taught on a wide variety of Financial Management and Strategy courses across the ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW and AAT syllabi. I also prepared all the timetables and staff plans for the Yorkshire region of Financial Training.
• 1994-1995 Training tutor, Price Waterhouse, Leeds. I prepared tutorials for all the firm’s students and presented the induction courses for new joiners.
• 1991-1994 Auditor, Price Waterhouse, Leeds. I qualified as an ACA (Chartered Accountant) in 1994, and became an FCA in 2009.

Profile:

• I grew up in Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire, and studied Maths at Durham University.
• After leaving University, I married Karen (a fellow Durham Maths graduate, and Maths teacher) and we now have 2 daughters, Lucy (11) and Amy (9), a black Labrador called Vera (a failed Guide Dog) and a kitten called Charlie.
• My interests outside work are hiking, camping, mountain biking and music—I play the trumpet pretty well and a number of other instruments (including guitar, drums and piano) pretty badly.
